Rappel Maui Tour Review

rappelling in Maui Hawaii

Departing from a centrally-located meet-up point near Maʻalaea Harbor, Rappel Maui guests will be driven down half of the famed Hana Highway with commentary from a team of knowledgable guides. After arriving at the stunning, private 30-acre botanical garden known as the Garden of Eden, guests will gear up and take a quick hike through a rainforest canopy to the first rappelling practice site.

All gear and equipment, including a backpack with a dry keg, floatation jacket, helmet, harness, and footwear are included, and there is absolutely no experience necessary to participate beyond the minimum age, waist size, and weight requirements. The Rappel Maui team of expert canyoneering guides will lead guests through a safety briefing and demonstration before your first real practice down a 60-foot dry jungle wall.

After mastering your moves, you’ll be treated to two additional rappelling sites, including a 50 foot and 30 foot waterfall! Guides are present every step of the way, and the thrill of rappelling down a remote Maui waterfall is a truly exciting and beautiful experience. When you reach the bottom, take a dip in the large freshwater pools, and congratulate yourself on a job well done! Don’t forget your waterproof camera or phone case, and wear pants or shorts that are mid-thigh length or longer, as well as a t-shirt or rash guard to protect your waist.
