More about this activity
Serving as Oahu’s only east-side luau, the Ka Moana Luau is located in Sea Life Park’s Makapuʻu Meadows in Waimanalo. Nestled against steep sea cliffs, guests are treated to ocean views of Makapuʻu Point and the small islands just offshore. Guests can use their ticket to Ka Moana for admission to Sea Life Park, good for seven days. Sea Life Park is about a 30-minute drive from Waikiki and only 20 minutes from Kailua.
Before the show, Ka Moana offers guests a range of hands-on cultural activities that the whole family will enjoy. Learn how to dance the hula, strum an ukulele, or make a lei. What’s more, the Ka Moana performers will be the very ones leading the activities, allowing guests to talk story and connect with the performers before the show. Lomi lomi and poi samples will also be available, just don’t spoil your appetite.
The entertaining show at Ka Moana takes guests on a journey across the Pacific, from the tiny island nation of Samoa to Hawaii’s volcanic island chain. The spirit of Aloha is perpetuated throughout the show, but the biggest highlight? The show begins and ends with sensational displays of fire.
Heaping plates of kalua pork, Huli Huli chicken, lomi lomi, chow mein, and poi- Ka Moana Luau does it right. The feast at Ka Moana also boasts daily fish specials and daily vegan specials, as well as accommodations for those who are gluten-free. Of course, you can expect a tasty dessert and a variety of adult and non-alcoholic beverages.
