A great option for budget travelers, parasailing is one of the most unique and economical ways to catch great views of Maui from above. Guests can opt for triple, tandem, or even solo flights. Operating out of Kaʻanapali Beach, you’ll spend an hour taking in stunning views of Maui’s west side, neighboring islands, and the West Maui Mountains before ending the flight with a refreshing dip in the Pacific Ocean (by request only). Parasailing is a seasonal activity and only runs from mid-May to mid-December.

Flights
Fly at 1200 feet (or choose the 800-foot option) for an exciting adventure above the Pacific. The experience typically lasts about an hour and usually departs several times daily, depending on the season. For an extra splash, ask your captain for the optional UFO Dip, which lets you briefly touch the water before being lifted back up! If heights aren’t your thing, you can tag along as an observer and get in on the action from the water. UFO’s boats can accommodate up to 12 passengers, with shared trips generally limited to a smaller group for comfort. Remember, parasailing is a seasonal activity on Maui and only operates from May to December, so plan accordingly.

Meet on Kaʻanapali Beach in front of Leilani’s on the Beach at Whalers Village. Look for the blue UFO Parasail umbrellas and beach staff. Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled parasailing time. Guests must be at least 5 years old to participate and must weigh at least 160 pounds for solo flights. Tandem and triple flights are available, with a combined weight limit of approximately 450–550 pounds. The captain may adjust weight limits based on wind, sea, and safety conditions.
