Maui Air Tours
Helicopters, Airplanes, Gliders, Parasailing and more!
Excitement and Incredible Views
Since Maui has such a dramatic, vast, and stunning landscape, it can be hard (and often impossible) to see the most gorgeous areas by car, foot, or even boat. In order to get the most bang for your buck, scenery-wise, we highly recommend a helicopter tour of the island. Not only will you get to see amazing sites you wouldn’t have the opportunity to see any other way, but the ride is safe, family-friendly, and fun.
Which Tour?
While tours often differ by which area of the island you want to see, our favorite options are the full island and West Maui and Molokai tours. On Maui alone, you’ll see hidden waterfalls and steep walls of the West Maui Mountains, the beautiful rolling hills of Upcountry Maui, the desert-like landscape along the backside of Haleakala National Park, Hana rainforest and vast Haleakala Crater, while on Molokai you’ll be treated to stunning views of the world’s tallest sea cliffs.
History, Whales, and Hidden Maui!
Tours are often limited to one or two hours long, and cover more sites than you could hope to see in several trips to Hawaii! During winter months, many guests have also been treated to views of humpback whales from above. The pilots are very safety-conscious and knowledgeable about the island’s history and terrain, and the views are simply unbeatable.
Preferred Helicopter Tour
Though there are many ways to see Maui from the air, including gliders, airplanes, ziplining, and parasailing, our favorite is by helicopter tour. Blue Hawaiian Helicopters has over 30 years of experience flying on Maui, and offers tours in both their A-Star and Eco-Star helicopter models, both of which are comfortable and perfectly spacious for families and small groups.
