Big Island Luaus

Big Island Luaus

lineBig Island Luau Experiences

It’s not a trip to the Big Island of Hawaii without experience the magic of a luau. Big Island Luaus combine history, live music, hula dancing, fire dancing, and delicious food while you enjoy sunset. These Kona luaus are family-friendly, safe and also great for those looking for a romantic evening. Each Hawaii luau is different due to its location, food served, show, and music.

Celebrate You!

When at a luau, you are an honored guest. Throughout Hawaiian history, the luau has been the central event for celebrating baby’s first birthday, weddings, achievements like graduations, and honoring traveling guests. Whatever your reason, you’ll have a blast and should celebrate having your family in Hawaii.

The Feast

&nsEvery Big Island Luau offers slow-roasted kalua pork, which is cooked in the ground with hot stones/coals (imu). This alone is worth visiting a luau in Hawaii, but some of the other island staples are worth trying as well. Lomi lomi salmon, the palette-cleanser  we call poi, Kona coffee, lau lua, and haupia pudding to name a few. Don’t forget to try our famous mai tais and/or fresh tropical juices!

The Performance

The live music, story, and dance are far more important than just tourist entertainment. When you visit a Big Island luau, you are helping the local community to continue practicing Hawaiian and Polynesian cultural practices and sharing history and lore through story. If that doesn’t give you chicken skin, we don’t know what will!
