Kona’s newest luau, Feast and Fire, is garnering a blaze of attention. Many luaus across the state claim to be the best, but The Feast and Fire Luau has the credentials to prove that they’re among the top. Set on the pristine oceanfront at Keauhou Bay, Feast and Fire features a quality spread of Hawaiian fare, captivating cultural dance, and music performed by the iconic Lim Family of Kohala- descendants of Alapaʻi Nui, one of the Big Island’s greatest chiefs. Guests will appreciate the authenticity and attention to detail at Feast and Fire, from the intricate costumes by renowned Hawaii-born designer Manaola Yap to the pre-show cultural activities.

THE LOCATION
Situated on 22 gorgeous oceanfront acres at Keauhou Bay, Feast and Fire Luau is perfectly set between the mountains and the sea. With the raw beauty of Kona as a backdrop, guests are afforded views of the verdant slopes of Mauna Loa, as well as the setting sun. The celebration itself is set among native Hala trees. Amid pulsing drums and traditional cuisine, guests are instantly transported to the Hawaii of old.
THE FEAST
You can expect food to take center stage at Feast and Fire. Mouthwatering fares are plentiful at this celebration, from slow-cooked savory kalua pork served alongside taro rolls to delectable lilikoi cheesecake and haupia. Libations (read: mai tais) flow from the open bar throughout the night.
THE CELEBRATION
The celebration of Hawaiian culture begins the moment you arrive. Before the entertainment kicks off, wander through the Artisan Village. Here, Hawaiian culture, art, crafts, and traditions abound. Pick up a hand-crafted souvenir, make a flower lei, or observe a poi-pounding demonstration. As the sun sets, the torches are lit, and the conch sounds as the celebration unfolds. Watch as Hawaiian history comes to life through dance and mele. Ancestral stories of Hawaii are told by the accomplished cast- some of whom are direct descendants of Hawaiian royalty. It’s safe to say that guests of Feast and Fire are in good company. This is one of our favorite Big Island Luaus.
SEATING
The Feast and Fire Luau features two seating options. The Aliʻi Private Seating option grants guests exclusive seating near the front of the stage, while general seating offers socially-distanced communal seating. Regardless of where you’re seated, unobstructed views, great food, an open bar, and riveting entertainment are on offer for all guests every Monday and Thursday night at Feast and Fire.

Best parts were the hula dancers, fire dancers, and live music. The food was also tasty with big portions available with the banana-leaf wrapped fish my fav.

Aside from the show/music, what made this dinner special was the attention to detail. Every element of the luau was carefully thought out and designed to create a truly immersive experience. I’m from Wisconsin and there’s nothing like that at home. I was super impressed and will be back.

We liked trying local dishes while enjoying the show. Thanks

My advice is to book this luau only if you are 100% sure there will not be rain. It was raining the night that we attended the luau. By the time we got to our table, took the poncho out of the sealed package and got it over our heads we were drenched. Water was literally dripping from the table cloths onto our laps. The napkins were soaked. The chairs were wet and there was nothing to dry them with. By the time the food was brought out and served to each individual table, it was wet and soggy. I cannot believe that an organization of this size does not have a Plan B in case of rain. Since there was no Plan B, they should have canceled the luau and refunded everyone’s money. I spent almost $1000 to surprise my family with what was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst day of our trip. After I wrote a letter of complaint I was refunded a total of $130.
