Your Boat
Climb aboard the “Holoholo” for the Niihau & Napali Coast Tour. This 65-foot power catamaran was designed and built on Kauaʻi and hosts one of the most iconic tours on the island. Equipped with dual Cummins QSB diesel motors and specifically designed to cut through wind and waves, this boat covers around 60 miles on this tour. The Holoholo has a low center of gravity making for a safe and secure ride that is more comfortable than the big double-decker boats.
The Adventure
With a full day of exploration, this tour begins at 6 am with a continental breakfast of scrambled eggs, pastries, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice. Enjoy your breakfast as you cruise toward the world-famous Napali Coast. History, stories, and info about the areas are shared by the captain as you approach the core of the dynamic Napali Coast with her 4000-foot sea cliffs, incredible rock formations, waterfalls, rainbows, and more! Sea turtles, monk seals, spinner dolphins, and humpback whales are commonly seen on this tour.
Snorkeling
Where most tours would head back to port, it’s time to head to Niʻihau, the Forbidden Isle, for some of the best Kauai snorkeling and lunch. The crew provides everything you need for a day underwater, like snorkel gear and snorkel instruction. Because of the extremely low traffic in this area, the water has up to 100 feet of visibility and is full of sea life, making it the perfect spot for snorkeling. After snorkeling, enjoy a satisfying lunch and some Hawaii craft beers or hard seltzers on your way back to Port Allen.

The equipment provided was top-notch, but I got a little cold when it rained. Highlight was watching a pod of spinner dolphins swimming around our boat. Other than being cold, it was good. I would tell you to bring a rain jacket and extra towel.

The scenery of this stretch of coastline is breathtaking – the deep blue ocean, rugged cliffs, and lush green mountains make for a magical sight. I was the one that kept taking photos. The crew were knowledgeable and attentive, helping us navigate around coral reefs, clusters of tropical fish, and even sea turtles. We also got some interesting tidbits about Hawaiian history.

It was a little bumpy and I get very motion sick on boats. I was ok, and my husband and kids really enjoyed it, but I think I would’ve brought pills next time. I still had fun, but towards the end, I was little uneven.

I absolutely 100% recommend this rafting tour. I’ve been sailing to Na Pali before but this was more intimate. The ride was faster and more exciting. We got wet while riding to the snorkel spot, but it felt good since the sun was out and blazing. The snorkel spots we went to were straight out of National Geographic or the screensaver on my Apple TV.

Thank you for a wonderful snorkel tour. We didn’t know what to expect since we’ve never gone snorkeling in Hawaii, so this was a treat. What I was definitely not expecting was the incredible views of the cliffs and beaches. So beautiful. Awe-inspiring.
